ArtFuck 2026 starts on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at 12:00 AM BST and finishes on Monday, November 16, 2026 at 12:00 AM GMT

Do I have to have a Bluesky account to take part in ArtFuck? 

Yes, because our database can only pull entries from Bluesky currently, plus we are too small a team to track this competition across multiple social media platforms. If you don’t currently have a Bluesky account, you can simply make one just to post your ArtFuck entries to. There is no requirement to be a big account or particularly active on there.

Do I have to join the Discord server to take part?

No, but we highly recommend it! You’ll get to hang out in a community of like minded individuals, join live streams for communal art making, and learn tips and tricks from other artists, amongst many other benefits.

How long does ArtF*ck last for?

Due to the work commitments of many of our artists, we found it best to allow two months for the competition to run.

Can anyone join in?

We accept artists of any skill level, from beginners to experts, but all participants need to be 18 or older to take part. GenAI art though is strictly forbidden, and anyone found to be using it will be banned.

I’ve only just heard about ArtF*ck! Can I join in even though the event has started?

Unfortunately not! Once the deadline for character submissions has passed, we can’t accept any more participants. However, our Discord server has mini events throughout the year, so you can always participate in those in the meantime.

Why is there limit on participants?

ArtF*ck has been popular waaaay beyond our expectations, and we didn’t want the event to become a victim of it’s own success by growing too big, too fast, and becoming impersonal. We love the community that’s been built around it, and it’s important to us to keep that vibe.
ArtF*ck will still grow every year as we’ll increase the quota, but we’ll be putting a brake on that growth to keep things manageable and not too overwhelming for everyone, as well as allowing the mod team the time and space to refine and improve how we do things

Am I only allowed to submit 1 original character for ArtF*ck?

Yes. Please also read the Rules and Guidelines for what is allowed.

When is the deadline for character submissions? 

Character sheets for 2026 must be submitted by Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at 12:00 AM although submissions may close earlier if our quota of 500 entrants is met.

Where can I find/ download the ArtF*ck character sheets? 

Character sheets can be downloaded from character card templates

Can I make my own character card/change the background on the template? 

Yes, you can! Just be sure to include your Bluesky account, character name, gender, portrait, likes and dislikes, and the details requested in the template.

Can I add extra sheets to my character submission?

Absolutely! The more info, the better. This can be extra visual references, kink sheets, relationship dynamics, etc.

Can I add art by other artists of my OC to my character submission?

Yes, but you must have permission from and credit the artists, and it should only supplement your own art.

When are teams announced?

Team names are chosen by the mods, and will be announced once character submissions have closed. Participants are assigned to teams randomly to ensure even numbers in both teams.

How can I search for character submissions to choose OCs to draw?

There’s a few ways you can look at character submissions. If you follow @artfuck.bsky.social then each submission is reposted by our account, and you can use the Save function to save any that pique your interest. Or you can search using the #artfuckoc tag.
On our Discord server, you can look through all the submissions posted there in the #character-cards channel, although it will be missing any posts from folk who aren’t in the server.
And finally, you can log in to our ArtF*ck Search (for participants only).

What should I do if I have to drop out of ArtF*ck?

Hey, it happens, but we do ask that you let the mods know (either via @Modmail on Discord, a quick DM to @artfuck.bsky.social, or email us through the website). This allows us to free up a space for someone else who wants to participate, and will avoid you getting a strike if you haven’t submitted any engagements at all.
